MT. LEBANON, Pa. – The Mt. Lebanon Parks and Recreation Board reviewed the status of its bustling summer season and began early-stage planning for a community-wide fall festival during its monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
Discussions centered on the high attendance figures for the municipal pool and golf course, as well as full enrollment in most of the summer camps offered to local youth. The board commended the department’s staff for managing the increased demand and maintaining the facilities during the peak season.
“The vibrancy we’re seeing in our parks and at the pool this summer is a testament to the community’s desire to be active and engaged,” stated one board member during the session. “Our job is to continue facilitating those opportunities.”

Looking ahead, the board discussed initial logistics for a potential fall festival in October. Topics included possible dates, securing park space, and brainstorming family-friendly activities. The goal is to build on the success of previous seasonal events to foster community engagement. The recreation department was tasked with developing a preliminary proposal with budget estimates to be presented at the August meeting.
The board also received a brief update on the ongoing trail improvement project in Robb Hollow Park, noting that the work is proceeding on schedule and is expected to be completed before the end of summer.
No formal action was taken on new initiatives. The meeting served primarily as a mid-summer check-in and a planning session for the upcoming season.
Residents can find meeting agendas and minutes on the Mt. Lebanon municipal website. The next Parks and Recreation Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025.
